OhioPLANT Submits Stakeholder Comments On ODA's Proposed Pesticide Rule Changes

January 27, 2026 8:00 PM | Tony Seegers (Administrator)

Today, OhioPLANT submitted stakeholder comments to the Ohio Department of Agriculture ("ODA") on the agency's proposed changes to the pesticide rules.

OhioPLANT drafted an amendment restoring a licensed applicator's ability to directly supervise a trained service employee in the application of general use and restricted use pesticides.  OhioPLANT worked with the Senate Agriculture Committee to amend the language into House Bill 10 and to get the bill passed and signed into law at the end of last year.  ODA's proposed pesticide rule changes are the product of OhioPLANT's work on that amended bill.
